A few field notes.
Help & feedback
Need a hand, or have an idea for the forest? We’d love to hear how your run went.
For a bug, include your device, browser and what happened. A screenshot helps.
How do I play?
Tap Play on the website to jump straight into a run. If you open the game directly, tap “Let’s roll” to begin. Your companion moves in a circle. Each tap changes the curve. Time your turns to pass between branches and keep ahead of the scrolling forest. Every gap is a point. On a computer, click the game or use Space.
How do I add ORBIT to my home screen?
On iPhone or iPad, open Share, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add. Keep Open as Web App enabled if shown. On Android, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The icon opens directly into the game. Open it online once to finish offline setup. Full installation and offline play require the HTTPS version; the Wi-Fi preview is for browser testing.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Open the website in an up-to-date Safari or Chrome browser and tap Play. Portrait is a good place to start. The game fills the available browser area and also works in landscape. There’s nothing to download.
How do I unlock companions and forests?
Cleared gaps add up across runs. Meet Moss at 10 total gaps, Amberwood at 20, the Daily trail at 35, Ember at 55 and Inkwild at 80. After your first discovery, open the game menu and tap Discoveries to choose.
Where is my progress saved?
In this browser, on this device. There’s no account or cloud save. Other browsers and devices have their own progress. Clearing website data may erase your records and unlocks; we don’t have a server copy to restore. Progress from the local prototype will not automatically transfer to a new public domain.
Why is the game quiet?
Sound starts after you interact with the game. Check your device’s media volume, then the separate Music and Sounds switches in the game menu. Some browsers or device settings may restrict sound.
Can I pause?
The forest keeps moving. Leaving the game ends the active run. Your saved progress stays, and you can start another run when you return.
How do I challenge a friend?
After a run, tap Share score. Where supported, your phone’s share sheet includes the score image and challenge message. Otherwise, save the image and copy the message. You choose who receives it. Public challenge links work when this website is deployed; local testing links are left out.
Do I need to pay or create an account?
No. This browser version is free, with no sign-up or purchases. Development previews may show clearly labelled test ads; live ads are not enabled. You can play as soon as the game loads.
